Community Chest Celebrates Women’s Day with “Let’s Brunch”
Cape Town, August 2026 — Community Chest of the Western Cape celebrated Women’s Day by hosting a special “Let’s Brunch” event for the wonderful female residents of iThemba Old Age Home in Khayelitsha.
The morning was all about celebrating and honouring our elders, with a delicious brunch, live music, pampering by therapists from the Beauty Therapy Institute and beautiful goodie bags filled with treats generously donated by Clicks, Essence Cosmetics, Manhattan Sweets and Blue Ribbon.
“We wanted to create a morning filled with love, laughter and appreciation, reminding these incredible women just how valued they are,” said Tanya Nefdt, Head of Marketing and Communications of Community Chest.
Community Chest is grateful to its generous donors, sponsors and partners who helped make this special celebration possible. We value your support.
